To tell someone how they should act, do or be, in a situation.

If I was being charitive, I would tell him to stop being sycophantic to those women.

charitable celebrity

basically an oxymoron: someone who goes on tv and does "good, generous" things in front of the whole US, exactly the opposite of how it should be done.
