While trying to think of a birthday present for my in-laws, I was just verklempt!

It's German. It means one feels a bit upset or emotional. I believe there's also a Yiddish spelling which is similar to the German one.

"My in laws are moving to town." " I'm feeling a bit verklemmt".

"Oh my God, I just saw Barbra Streisand" " I feel verklemmt."
