Get the what the stigmamug. A type of brag or status signaling behavior whereby someone highlights something that is generally shameful or embarrassing.
Can include things like failures (a failure resume), childhood hardship, poverty, illness or imperfect physical conditions, etc.
This type of brag is generally shunned or punished by audiences generally UNLESS the braggart is very high in status - in which case its often rewarded.

All those prestigious Harvard students are now making stigma brags by posting their "failure resumes" on linked-in and getting lots of likes. If they were from Boston community college then that wouldn't get them any attention at all!
