reason for strike tags

n. when you have to say something even though they know it's obvious but how on earth people are going to know what you want to say? At the same time you excuse yourself of any "blame" by striking the sentence and ACTUALLY saying something else.

Someone <strike>we</strike> should write that. (This is a good reason for strike tags.)

An expression used to tell someone to keep their inappropriate, logically reasoned thoughts to themselves.

Mr. Smith: "Honey my poop is green today. I think the reason is because I ate a bowl of peas with last night's dinner."

Mrs. Smith: "Ew, reason that to yourself dear."

or

Ms. Princess: "I think the reason why Tommy couldn't get a boner last night is because I'm so incredibly good looking that it made him nervous."
