Neff: one of a series of noisy up-and-down jaw movements with mouth and eyes wide open, often performed by nearby, toothless diners that appear to be in a trance. Also indicates the person who is neffing (the neffer). Used as a nound or verb.
Yahuda ask his mother if it was OK to imitate the elderly neff at the next table while dining at Cowboy Bob's Bean Barrell.
"“Is anything wrong?” “Neff.”"
synonyms: absolutely not, most certainly not, of course not, under no circumstances, by no means, not at all, negative, never, not really
Neffs are strange creatures. They like to nap and have 'snackies'. Neffs can be affectionate, but be careful as they do have a tendancy to bite on occasion. To make a neff happy, feed her snackies, let her nap and give attention. Neffs do lack the ability to think before they speak, so if your Neff says something mean, just give her a snackie and send for nap immediately.
