A large crowd. Often described as torch-wielding, a mob is a large (usually poorly educated or rough) crowd of perhaps villagers with pitchforks who move against certain things. Like a crowd of lemmings they follow one another.
Also used to describe the general populace.

GRACCHUS: I think he knows what Rome is. Rome is the mob. He will conjure magic for them and they will be distracted. He will take away their freedom, and still they will roar. The beating heart of Rome is not the marble of the Senate, it is the sand of the Colosseum. He will bring them death, and they will love him for it. --from Gladiator movie (2000)

To utterly destroy the environment, people, plants, animals, babies, etc. This is a mode where you are steamrolling through life worried about only your crew! Other mooks cannot stand in your path. No one can oppose you. Chaos will ensue
I plan to mob it to the library today to do some studying. :) Stupid moox if you need an example, I can show you in real life.

Short for a "Mobile Object". The term commonly used in MUDs and MMORPGs. Denotes a non-playable character that is usually attackable and often a monster of some sort.
Those mobs were bugged, they just stood there while I beat them with my toon's sword, did you see that?
