Emerson LaSalle

Emerson LaSalle -name- A fictional character of blogcruft, and the main character in the independent film PULP BOY.

HISTORY - Emerson LaSalle started out as an imaginary character that was a metaphor for the kind of writer that was just so bad that you couldn't help but like him. His fictional life and career was created through thousands of blog posts and comments through various websites and publications in an ever expanding MEME.

Eventually, the name was widely enough recognized that there was even a Wikipedia entry created for him. However, disgruntled Wiki editors fought fiercly to remove his reference, despite being updated to note that he was a character of fan-fiction. This in turn caused a surge in popularity (and infamy) for the character.

"That is a true LaSallism." Meaning: Something that is done half-assed with the belief that the effort was sufficient.

"In memory of the prolific Emerson LaSalle." Meaning: Sarcastic reference to anything that could be construed as a major failure, gratuitously violent or sexual, or cheesy in general.

"That is probably just another pseudoneme for Emerson LaSalle." Meaning: The name sounds fake.

"Oh man, I just got LaSalled" Meaning: Being shunned, or overlooked.

With reference to the name, Sir Donald Duck of La Salle College looks like Donald Duck. The only difference is that he doesn't have a beak. This name originated from his surname, which is Tong (Full name in Chinese: Tong Wun-Sing). Donald Duck 's name in Chinese is Tong lou ap (Chinese: 唐老鸭). They both have Tong as their surnames and Tong Wun Sing is old. Therefore, he is often nicknamed as Sir Donald Duck of La Salle College.

De La Salle

De La Salle is a private, Catholic, all-boys high school located in Concord, California. The school is most well known for its football team which won 151 straight games from 1992-2003 under head coach Bob Ladouceur. The streak ended September 4, 2004, when the team lost to Bellevue High School of Bellevue, Washington. Famous De La Salle football alumni include Amani Toomer, Aaron Taylor, Maurice Jones-Drew, Doug Brien, Cameron Colvin, Matt Gutierrez, Derek Landri, David Loverne, Kevin Simon, Demetrius Williams, and DJ Williams.

De La Salle's football team won 11 straight CIF North Coast Section titles from 1992-2003.

Lavallette

A small beach town on the Jersey Coast. It is known for its great times and surf. The town is home for anything related to the water. It's Population is made mostly of old families of Irish and Polish Decent. The towns local bar is Crab's Claw where locals tend to hang. It is a great town to visit, party, or surf.
