Drunker than 10 indians

A euphamism used mostly in the upper midwest, to signify one who is really really drunk, possibly close to passing out. Plays on the fact native americans do not hold their liquor well.

Last night in Sturgis I got drunker than 10 Indians.

University of Indians and Chinese

The University of Indians and Chinese is not a real college. It is a named often associated with the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). People often use this name to describe the real UIC because their are many Indians and Chinese. It is pointed out, however, that this usage is racists because there are many Russians and Filipinos there as well.

Example:

Guy 1: Where do you go to school?

Guy 2: I go to UIC.

Guy 1: Ohhh. The University of Indians and Chinese eh?

Guy 2: No! Actually I saw a white girl there today, so ha!

Cleveland Indians

A freakin' awesome baseball team. The tribe has had some of baseball's best players since 1995. Former Indians players include Manny Ramiez, Roberto Alomar, Jim Thome, Bartolo Colon, Kenny Lofton, Albert Belle and Omar Vizquel. Oh yeah, and Orel Hershiser, Eddie Murray, David Justice, Sandy Alomar Jr., Charles Nagy, Juan Gonzalez, and Dennis Martinez. Many of these players are future hall of famers. They made it to the World Series in 1995 and 1997, and won there division 6 out of 7 years from 1995 to 2001. Currently, they are a team on the rise, with young stars like C.C. Sabathia, Travis Hafner, Cliff Lee, Jhonny Peralta, Victor Martinez, and Grady Sizemore. They will definitely win a World Series in the near future.

Who'll win the division this year, Bob?

Phrase used to claim there are too many bosses, not enough workers, but also used to lament the over-education of the "masses," who should realize their place. Usually uttered by yuppies or their parents, quite confident that no one in their circle will end up a mere "Indian."

"Ah, another fellowship program, but you can't find a good lawn man these days. Too many chiefs, not enough Indians."
