Highlands Scots

A high school located in North Highlands, Ca., a school rich in tradition. The school offers a good education but can sometimes be a challenging learning environment. Alot of smart, successful people came out of Highlands and what you get out of it is what you put into it. A place where friends are more than that, they're family. The rough neighborhoods and sometimes mean streets of North Highlands can be harsh and one can grow up very quick, there is a common ground though for alot of these kids other than the classroom and that is on the field. The once proud athletic program is making a comeback due to the alumni of the school who want to put the Scots back on the map and show that it does mean somethng to be a Scot and that this city has more to offer than the bad reputation it has gotten through the years. The area has put out and continues to put out alot of great STUDENT ATHLETES and has alot of talent on and off the field. Due to the people who put in the time these kids have a chance and can put HIGHLANDS back on the map.

Highlands Ranch

1. The yuppie infested armpit of Colorado.
2. A suburb south of Denver where it is manditory to own the largest sport utility vehical that you can possibly afford to compete with your neighbors oversized SUV even though you have no need for one.
3. A place to go to get judged by others for what you own, do for a living, and how your lawn looks.

I live in Highlands Ranch, sure it's more expensive but it's sure woth it for it's social status. Speaking of social status, have you seen my enormous Ford Excursion I have no idea how to drive it but boy it's sure better than my neighbors land rover.

northern highlands

The Ritz Carlton of high schools on the East Coast. Some would tout Highlands in comparison to the popular Laguna Beach Orange County HS. A place where gucci, armani and abercrombie and ficth are standard as school uniform. The parking lot is a goldmine filled with Jags, Chrome rims, and your garden variety of Mom's and Dad's 50 G cars. Football team blows but no one shows up for sport, they show up to be noticed. If you've ever seen Mean Girls then you can imagine the taste of the Highlands social environment. Don't be mislead, money doesn't grow on trees, but it seems to flow out of daddy's wallet.
Despite the aristocracy, don't get me wrong...our girls are the hottest on the east coast, our parties can only be explained by Ludacris when he says "(area code)201...so much green, so much fun", and if i didn't mention our girls are one of a kind...
So if you ever move to the 201, be a fuckin' legend, be a Highlander.
