Groton Long Point is small town on the Connecticut shore. A place that is nearly deserted except for the months of July and August. GLP is known for its rediculous cops...pulling over kids for riding without helmets and breaking up parties that consists of a few beers and a root table.Most of the people that come to GLP it is there second or third home... these people mostly come from fairfield county and bring there cocky ignorrant attitude to GlP. Weekends in GlP usually consists of people sitting at the "Point Spa" buying overpriced candy and drinks. The piont spa didnt even have milkshakes until it was protested. During the day kids ride there bikes around going to east dock and longboarding pretending like they are from "Dogtown." Most kids in GlP are wanna be surfer however can barely stand up on 12 foot long boards on 3 foot waves. The girls in GlP are pretty and pretend to be friends with each other but secretly hate each other while the boys try to be Bro's and try to attract these pretty but annoying girls with there long blonde flow and avator bro googles.. overall Glp is fairfield county of the shore with rich cocky kids and root parties that gets busted

Groton

Decent boarding school that holds great pride in its academics and athletics. However, what actually goes on inside the school is a whole different story - students drink, smoke, slack off work, and show off their wealth through excess fashion and cars. Campus is miserable and dorm room walls aren't even walls.

A lot of joking about being gay which 60% of the school probably is.

Clearly a school filled with Andover and Exeter rejects.

Smart kid: "YES! I got into Andover!!! What school did you get into?"
Fag: "I got rejected from every school I applied to... Except for Groton"

Groton

While also being a place, Groton is mostly used in context to reference the Groton school. Filled with idiots, the Groton School is hated by all except those who go there. Other schools hate it because all the people who go there think they're amazing, and the locals hate it because it sucks in every way imaginable. Groton is especially know for having really arrogant students who think that being rich is the same as being smart. Groton accepts any retard who lies on their application, believing that lies are better than the truth. Cheating is accepted at Groton, as thats how most people at Groton will live their lives in the future; by cheating off of other people's hard work. It is also common knowledge that kids who attend Groton enjoy sticking broomsticks up each other's asses for fun. Stupid, Spoiled, and Ugly Whores are also a common sight at Groton. But then again what would you expect from a school with a fuckin zebra for a mascot.

groton, Connecticut

A place often mixed with Groton, Massachusetts. A place full of boats and schools. Everybody there hates the other social classes and every other school they haven't attended. Near the world famous FoxWoods Casino, and Mohegan Sun Casino. No notable sports teams, unless you count the boating teams. Probably one of the most expensive places to live, but its worth it because you don't have to deal with gangs or violent crimes. Though you will have to deal with people saying its better than everywhere else (because it is) and people that deserve to be on r/iamverysmart.
