Foxboro

A smallish town in Massachusetts, roughly halfway between Boston and Providence. Home of the New England Patriots football franchise. The bedrock of the town's population are families that fled there from various Irish neighborhoods ahead of the busing crisis and assorted other encounters with people duskier than themselves. Before WWII, the population was split between Yankee Protestants and Irish immigrants who came to work in factories. Recently, Foxboro has become a bedroom community for yuppies, who decided that the "urban" part of their description isn't any fun anymore once they realized that meant little Madison and Adin would have to go to school with Tamika and Juan. The things these population elements have in common is parochialism, small-mindedness and virulent racism, all of which are prominent in Foxboro's character.

One of Foxboro's neighboring towns, Sharon, is largely Jewish. When their teams play Foxboro's, they are oftentimes subject to anti-semitic harassment, getting pelted with pennies, swastikas sprayed on the court, etc. etc.

Foxborough Regional Charter School

A tiny charter school in Foxboro, MA that usually yields a graduation class of under 20 students. It's got decent academics depending on the class, a bunch of really bizarre and crazy but amazing teachers, pretty awesome programs and leadership opportunities if you actually care, and less-than-stellar but slowly improving facilities. Athletics kind of suck but that's to be expected. Also known as "FRCS" or "frickiss."

"I went to frickiss."
"What?"
"Frickiss...the charter school...you know, the Foxborough Regional Charter school. In Foxboro, MA. FRCS. Frickiss."

Foxborough Regional Charter School

Known to students and staff as "FRCS," the Foxborough Regional Charter School is a small K-12 school with less than 800 students in the town of Foxborough, MA. The largest graduating class ever has been a mere 32 students. The high school buildings are comprised of two trailers previously used for a medical facility that now sits on a temporary foundation. The school lacks many school teams, a cafeteria, and teachers that will stay for more than a year. The school has recently decided to use 16 million dollars to expand the school. The school is relatively unknown which often leads to confusion when students explain where they go to school.

"So, your in high school. Where do you go?"
"Well it's a small school in Foxborough, next to Mansfield, close to Norton."
"Where is that?"
"Near Gillette Stadium."
"Just tell me what it's called."
"Foxborough Regional Charter School."
"Whatever, it isn't important."

Foxbat Effect

The Foxbat Effect is when an autocratic country, wanting to show how threatening and virile they are, overhype the effectiveness of their weapons, prompting wealthier and more powerful liberal democracies to develop weapons designed to actually counter the hyped-up weapons, only to then find out that the perceived threat was a turd.

So named for the MiG-25 “Foxbat”, which prompted the development of the F-15.

The T-90M’s missile countermeasures not working after NATO spent millions on weapons than can counter them is a prime example of the Foxbat Effect.

Foxrot

An inflammatory disease that attacks the brain as a direct result of consuming Fox News. Adults over the age of 21 can become agitated, ignorant and often times disassociate from reality. Signs of damage and degradation to the brain include Covid Hoax shirts, conceal/carry in suburban retail stores, punisher paraphernalia, and gadsden "Don't Tread On Me" flags.
