Safe

The word is used in a variety of contexts mainly when it is referring to someone you think of as a friend, as a greeting and as a way of saying thank you. The word is derived from the idea of literally being 'safe' when you are with a person, the idea that you will come to no harm.

He is safe, do not hit him.
Safe for letting me borrow your pencil.
Safe, I will speak to you tomorow.

Safed

The act of placing an object, in a location for safekeeping and then, subsequently, failing to remember the items location.

“Help!”; “I lost my car keys!!”, “I know I had them on me when I walked in the door, last night!”; Ryan exclaimed, as he frantically searched his apartment, and all the while, definitely late for work.

“Calm down, man; take a chill pill.” Said Josh; his smooth voice, carrying through the open doorway. “It’ll be okay; I’ll help you search. You haven’t, effectively, “lost” your keys, anyway; you’ve just safed them.”
