anti-authoritarianism

Opposition to authoritarianism. Beliefs include no absolute faith in authority; appealing to reason, logic and evidence; equality before the law and civil liberties, and rejection of appealing to authority to prove an argument as a logical fallacy. Anti-authoritarianism has been associated with the counterculture movement and sub-cultures such as punks (and offshoots such as cyberpunk and unicorn punk), beatniks, and hippies; and the bohemian movement.
The accession to power of notoriously unpopular populist politicians such as Hitler and Donald Trump has been a spur for anti-authoritarianism.

authorita

Self-arrogated power, most often used for its own sake. Authority gained for the specific purpose of abusing it. As noted elsewhere, coined and used most often by Eric Cartman, whom no sane adult or child would put in charge of even the most frivolous thing (see "authoritah").
Stan: Oh no, nothing's worse than Cartman with authorita!

Authoritative Duke

When the media or other gatekeepers of acceptable discourse want to discredit an idea or an individual, without themselves making any negative or critical comments directly, they find a morally detestable character to endorse the person or idea, thus manufacturing guilt by association with a person they would otherwise never consult, or give credence to their opinion. That poisonous proxy is known as an "Authoritative Duke", after David Duke, a man who would never be part of a mainstream political discussion except to be a tool to ritually contaminate an enemy of the media. David Duke, being quite powerless on his own, is a willing participant in the charade, because it conveys a false sense of authority on him whereas otherwise he is an untouchable.
"The new outrage is ready for us to amplify, but I'm afraid most people won't be outraged. If we reporters speak out against it, then it will show our bias too strongly. We need an Authoritative Duke so people know what side of the issue good people are supposed to be on," opined Reporter One.
"So, call Richard Spencer back on?" queried Reporter Two.
"Yes, exactly, he'll be thrilled," resolved Reporter One.

Authoritardian

These federalist cucks want to get bent over by daddy FBI and dommed like nobody's business. They are the antithesis to Twitter Blue Hairs, hate minorities, women, and flag-burners.

Low levels frequent internet junctions such as /pol and r/politicalcompassmemes, surviving off Doritos and mountain dew. But some, more powerful types, can blend into society and masquerade among other normal human beings...
Libtard: Man I can't fucking stand Staten Island. It and all the fat pigs who live there should sink into the sea
Tankie: Yeah, that fake borough is full of authoritardians.

Social Authoritarian

A political idealogical concept in which a government should have the majority of control. However, being a social authoritarian means that the government acts on the part of its citizens. It by no means means a conservative, whackjob society where religion is key and rights are stamped out. It essentially is a benevolent dictatorship, where a small group of people act towards the better of a country.
Guy 1: Dude, did you know Singapore is a benevolent dictatorship?!
Guy 2: Uh yeah. But did you know its one of the most advanced cities in the world because of it? Because of its long term commitment, it can actually start and finish projects! That's why i'm an social authoritarian.

Authoritarian Regime

A ruling party within a country that enforces strict obedience and allegiance to authority at the expense of personal freedom (as seen in Iran, Syria, North Korea, Russia, China, and sometimes, America).
Person 1 - Hey what are the most up and coming authoritarian regimes?
Person 2 - The Trump administration is rising the ranks quickly. Let's see if they can compete with North Korea and Syria.

authoritarian

In a political context - In favor of large, intrusive government that violates or suppresses individual rights; characterized by a "law and order" approach; failing to support civil liberties and/or economic freedom in society; undemocratic

In a non-political context - Bossy, controlling, domineering
People with authoritarian views, agendas, or personalities rarely describe themselves as authoritarian, but can often be spotted when they try to rationalize some government control as being necessary "for national security", "for public safety", "for the children", or "for your own good".
