armchair mercenary

an individual, typically male, who incessantly second guesses the outcome of military battles recreated on television. Often addicted to the History Channel, has never served in the armed services, but is an active member of the NRA, an avid gun collector, yet doesn't hunt. Can be somewhat oblivious to spousal interests or needs.

Armchair mercenary: "Bla, bla, bla, then you know honey, if Brigadier General Warren's scouts hadn't found Little Round Top undefended, then Colonel Vincent wouldn't have led his brigade up the hill and set up a picket line. If General Lee's troops had just arrived there, say, just 10 minutes earlier, 20 tops, the Battle of Gettysburg would have been a Confederate victory! The rest would be history! Hey, grab me another beer, would ya?"
Wife: "You are sooo smart, snookums! You're my favorite armchair mercenary! Get your own beer, but just one! Remember? I've got to go, uh..... go and visit my sick friend again."

Armin van Buuren

Straight from Holland, Armin van Buuren (AvB) is one of today's most respected and well-known trance DJs in the world, along with other popular DJs like Tiesto, Paul van Dyk and Ferry Corsten, with whom he often collaborates with.

AvB runs his own weekly show, A State of Trance (ASOS), in which he compiles some of the best songs of that time into a mix. His big 200th episode aired June 9th, 2005 on Digitally Imported radio, in which he displayed his profound ability to blend and layer songs into one mix.

AvB also produces and remixes single tracks, many of which have become very popular in the trance scene, such as "Burned With Desire", "Communication", "Janeiro" and "Shivers".

Regardless of opinions, Armin van Buuren has a loyal fanbase and passionately influences the rave scene around the world.

Armin is a lawyer in his spare time.

While many argue over whether Tiesto is better than Armin van Buuren, I say that they are best in their own degrees.
