Bumpscare (noun)

The sudden wave of paranoia, anxiety, or “oh sh*t” realization that hits right after doing a bump of coke that was way bigger than intended.

That moment your heart starts racing and your brain goes into overdrive because the bump hit way harder than expected.

Example 1:
“I was chillin’ until that second bump kicked in… instant bumpscare, had me questioning life.”

Example 2:
“He said ‘one more won’t hurt’—five minutes later he was pacing the room in full bumpscare mode.”

Example 3:
“I was vibing for like 30 seconds, then boom—full bumpscare, couldn’t sit still.”

Example 4:
“That wasn’t a bump, that was a personality-altering bumpscare.”

Example 5:
“Why is my heart doing parkour?? Oh yeah… bumpscare.”

“I tried to play it cool but the bumpscare had me googling my symptoms.”
