A method used both for repair and construction. The use of whatever tools and materials are available to solve a problem. Using custom fabrication to provide what is needed for otherwise more difficult tasks. The process of nitmotizing differs from terms such as afro engineering or ghetto rig in that the items are able to be used for extended periods of time, rather than being an extremely temporary solution.

My desk has been nitmotized, it's not pretty, but it will work until I can replace it.
