Red Shift

The reddening or decrease in frequency of light from distant galaxies due to the Doppler effect, indicating that they are moving away from us. The red shift can also take place via expansion of empty space, as in the expanding universe. The opposite of blue shift.

Most galaxies are red shifted, this tells us that our universe is expanding.

meat shift

a phenomenon that occurs when eating a hamburger or sandwich exclusively from one side so the meat and other ingredients shift, causing the last couple bites to have an unproportional mixture of ingredients

to mend this seemingly inevitable situation, one must eat the given hamburger/sandwich in a circular fashion as to cause the meat to constantly "shift" towards the center, essentially cancelling out meat shift

Person 1: "Man, my last bite of this hamburger has way too much meat!"

Person 2: "Well, you gotta take into account meat shift!"

shitty roommate

A roommate that no one ever should have. This is a roommate that never cleans the room and is a total dick to his roommates. He stays up late doing his homework because he was too busy watching tv. Takes the longest showers and messes with the temperature. He also has no problem walking around naked and showing the world his tiny dick. The world would be better without the shitty roommate.

Erin: Jeff is such a shitty roommate, he always does things intentionally to piss off chris and ryan.
