Bastard Board

Computers generally consist of a mother board with the CPU and basic I/O functions. Daughter boards add or enhance performance such as a SCSI controller or video card. Bastard boards are modified daughter boards that only work in one computer or a very specific hardware and software configuration.

We finally got it to work after we realized that we had a bastard board that required AMI BIOS 2.2.
