A barren desolate land north of Westchester, NY containing of some the most boorish people. They claim to have manners and courtesy but they lack common sense and social graces.

Areas of upstate include Poughkeepsie, Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, etc.

Upstate is a place where you have to drive your pickup 20 miles to buy a Sears, Roebuck suit or Gingham dress at a local Walmart. Upstate is sterile, it's a fucking joke.

Once I went to Nassau County and everybody somehow knew I was from the Big City.

now i'm from upstate Ny and i admit it is boring but people got it all wrong. we are not toothless hicks, we do know how to have a good time (ex. cow tippin) so you can all go do one if u think upstate Ny sucks because u dont live here. at least it not canada or texas right?
