Marvin is a guy who struggles with internal issues. The name is most commonly a name used for a 'straight' man in the 80's. Turns out the guy does however, have a bit of a temper and expects dinner to be made when he gets home. He drags others into his problems because he wants it all, but doesn't get the all. All he would like it to spend an hour more with his lover. This is a man who is not athletically strong and is most likely a theater kid.
