An old latin phrase, literally translated as "Athanasius against the world". Athanasius of Alexandria (not to be confused with Athanasius Kircher) was a Christian Bishop in the 4th Century who defended Christianity, often supposed as using techniques compared to the modern mafia, against the 'threat' of Arianism.
The phrase, "Athanasius contra mundum" can then be taken as an expression of the need to defend one's ideas, no matter the cost.

They are constantly together and doing the same thing - not acting as an exclusive group of people but as a unified body of Alephs who all share a common goal and mindset. They continue to surprise everyone with their antics at Regional Events.
On top of all of this, Athens of the South AZA #258 has a rich history dating back to the 1950's. They have earned many programming and chapter awards, including Chapter of the Year and Most Spirited Chapter.
