Overcompensating Karen

A self-aware Karen (or unfortunate person with a Karen-vibe) attempting to reform from problematic Karen behavior so they act like the antithesis of a Karen by overcompensating and displaying over-the-top friendly behavior to people in the service industry in order to seem more relatable. They often coming off as inauthentic but their intentions aren’t necessarily bad.

This entitled-looking middle-aged white woman with an inverted bob haircut is obviously trying extremely hard to be relatable and liked by the manicurist. It’s hard to watch this Overcompensating Karen.

Dog Karen

A typically middle-aged woman that always seems to find something wrong in an innocuous video about a dog. Dog Karen’s have a primal need to share their usually wrong opinion and bring down the comment section of an otherwise cute video. They think they are “helping” a dog in need when most of the time they are over sensitive and have no idea what they’re talking about.

“Aww look at this cute video about a man rescuing dogs.”
“Better steer clear of the comments, there’s probably a Dog Karen ruining the mood.”

Thanksgiving Karen

An woman who micromanages every aspect of a Thanksgiving holiday and tends to overreact to minor issues by blowing them out of proportion.

Thanksgiving Karen (or the more masculine-identifying Thanksgiving Chad, plans out and executes all details of Thanksgiving, including menu, decorations, transportation, post-dinner activities, etc. The upside is that the food is always amazing. Just be careful to do exactly as you are told and never, ever, ever go off script.

Rudy: Hey, what are you doing for Thanksgiving, bruh?
Carlos: Going to my mom's house for some fantastic food. She's always been a Thanksgiving Karen, you know.
