government shutdown

Something that, in 2013, was supposed to stop the delay of Obamacare, just so that the Obama Administration could turn around and keep delaying parts of it later.

Progressives and Democrats wailed about the partial government shutdown -- name-calling the Republicans "extremists" and "domestic terrorists" -- but have no problem with Obama delaying parts of Obamacare now -- which is exactly what the argument surrounding the government shutdown was about in the first place. Hypocrites!

Gojet

An airline that was started by Trans States Airlines management to circumvent the pilot's union's collective bargaining agreement. The pilots that fly for Gojet started working there because they anticipated a fast upgrade to captain instead of having to wait in line like everyone else. Because Gojet pilots did what they did and work without a contract, they are universally regarded throughout the industry as lower than whale shit at the bottom of the ocean.

Man, do you see that gojet pilot over there? He actually thinks he is getting on this flight!

2. Improper use or teasing about can lead to one being sent on special assignment to the Yukon.

First used in NBC's the West Wing, November 2000, on "And It's Surely to Their Credit" season 2, episode 5.

President Bartlet: Kids, I am so sorry. I have to go now, to a special meeting... of the government. I will mail you all an autographed copy of the picture we took together. And one day, you will all understand.

Dick: Is that really the time? Oh man, I'm uh... late. I have a special meeting of the government that I have to go to, sorry. *runs out the door*
