What a teacher says in an attempt to get students who have questions to open up. This really does the opposite -- none of the students had the time to come up with a question in the first place, and then when they do come up with a question, they don't ask it because they 'should have asked when it was question time.'

Teacher: There is a fiction assignment you guys will be starting soon, and it'll be due on the 25th. There will be several writing workshops so each of you can get with your partners and read your own stories to each-other. Bring four copies of your first draft this Thursday, you're aiming for 300-400 words, and then hopefully you guys can have a good time bouncing suggestions off of each other. Any questions?
Class: *silence*
Teacher: Alright, class is dismissed. Have a good afternoon.

When you mention someone's name and they just then appear. Whether they enter the room, walk by, call you or in any way contact you. It is similar to 'Speak of the devil'.

1. An interrogation point, denoting that a sentence it is used in is a question.
2. Alternate way to say "What?"

Brown: "I went zablis abba carfth."
Kiko: "Question mark."
Brown: "... ..."
Kiko: "What did you just SAY?!"

quick question

The plea occasionally comes from a pain in the ass office worker who is clueless and wants help desperately. He does not have a quick question. He usually requires a quick answer that is not easily given. He gives the appearance of knowing what he is talking about but needs a tutorial on how to load a stapler. This guy (sorry men: this stupid question normally does not come from a woman) is not long for the company if he asks this kind of shit all the time. The worst offenders will use "air quotes" when asking a "quick question."

Hey dude, can I ask you a "quick question" about the sales meeting this afternoon?
