A phrase for making fun of someone or something that is not as important, dangerous or cool as it seems.

Those dangerous internet hackers . . . they can blow up vans, make you get dogs and curtains, and make your girlfriend think you're gay. Stupid hackers on steroids.

hacker

A term broadly used to describe hardware and software research and development, and modification. "To hack" essentially means "to plow," and refers to assembling and modifying computer systems and programs. Programmers with high technical capabilities are given the honorary title of hacker.
The word can also refer to invading another person's computer, but the correct term is "cracking." Programmers who are adept at cracking refer to themselves as hackers. As a result, hacking is often taken to mean a criminal act.

Person 1 : Hi, I'm a hacker!
Person 2 : OMG WTF U STEAL PPLS BANK ACCOUNTZZ???
Person 1 : No you moron, that would be a cracker.

Hocker

Similar to a "tool," a hocker is a loser or a jerk. While the word itself is not all that offensive, it is certainly derogatory. Calling someone a hocker denotes displeasure that is often coupled with a lack of respect for that person. Essentially, calling someone a hocker indicates disdain and a feeling of superiority to that person.

You hocker! I cannot believe you didn't save me a slice of pizza.
