Guardians

Another word to describe Native Americans. This term came about because referring to them as 'Indians' is misleading and confusing to people outside North America since they may think they are descended from migrants from India. The name comes from the first Americans being it's 'Guardian'.

The term is catching on. In sports the Cleveland Indians are now the Cleveland Guardian.
