Originally meant as the person who is in charge in a place where illicit drugs are sold. AKA a traphouse.

Also can mean, someone who is a bosslike figure or calls the shots somewhere or in some function, or is just a badass.

A ploy or scheme to get others to join you for beer or drinks at a bar so you can get drunk together and talk shit or complain.

I'm gonna lay a thirst trap for Bobby because I'm depressed and want to get drunk and forget about my shitty day.
