Definition:
1) A member of the Punk Rock counter-culture
2) A missing link between Punk and Emo
3) An emotional-punk
4) A Punk associated with Emotive hardcore

Style and appearance:
An Emo Punks's style is:
1) A mix of the Emo and Punk fashion: plaid bondage pants, combat\biker boots, spiked bracelets, ripped clothes typical to Punk, and
black\gray clothes, skinny/ripped jeans, Converse shoes, band bracelets typical to Emo
2) Makeup ( not necessary )
3) Nail-polish ( not necessary )
4) Liberty Spikes with or without long bangs, Prison Bar Haircut, Chelsea Hawk, any colored or natural hair
5) D.I.Y

Attitude:
1) Have ironic humor
2) Be political
3) Be artistic, as both punks and emo are artistic people
4) Express yourself through music, as both punks and emo do
5) Mosh and fight! - since you're half punk, you can mosh or fight whenever you want, as you have to stand up for what is yours
6) Be ironic!
7) Never be too serious
8) Write poetry or song lyrics, as you're half emo
9) Be yourself and don't sell-out
10) Don't take others opinions
11) Be against mainstream

Music: (bands are JUST examples, listen to anything you like of these genres)
1) Punk Rock/Hardcore with any political background (Ramones, Sex pistols and Dead kennedys)
2) Emotive Hardcore/Post-Hardcore (Rites of Spring, Fugazi, Embrace and Moss Icon)
3) Screamo/Skramz (Pg.99, I Hate Myself and The saddest landscape)
4) Emo (Jimmy Eat World, Sunny Day Real Estate and My Chemical Romance)

Emo Punk Guy: Cool I know those bands, but listen to bands such as Rites of Spring, Moss Icon and I Hate Myself, but I do listen to other types of Emocore

Emo Punk: Well I don't have a problem with Pop punk I think it's alright, but hell yeah I listen to Punk Rock such as The Sex Pistols, Ramones, The Clash, Bad Religion and Black Flag

Someone that is influenced by more than one style of punk.

Guy: I'm a mutt punk. I listen to all styles of punk. All styles interest me. Some days I listen to Bad Religion; Other days I listen to Dropkick Murphys. But at the end of the day we're fight for the same fucking cause! Punk's not dead!

Street Punk

A punk rock subculture for the lower and working classes. The music is very political, and the people are very accepting, most people see us as bad people, thugs, but some of the nicest people I know are street punk. Most of us are educated, nice people. We typically are very outspoken and political and want equality for all, and anarchy. We typically wear D.I.Y clothes, with spikes, studs, political/band patches, safety pins, tartan, vegan leather, we usually have spiked and dyed hair, stick n' pokes, and lots of piercings.

starter punk

Typically a kid in middle school who just listened to the Ramones for the first time. Starts wearing leather jackets, checkered slip on Vans, sunglasses that he gets in trouble for trying to wear in class. Can also lead into adulthood if the starter punk music never evolves into deeper punk genres (i.e. post punk, pop punk, folk punk, crust punk, etc.)

Pyjama Punk

When you love your local punk rock community, but from the comfort of your cosy warm bedroom. Pyjama punks prefer cups of tea to beer, social media to protests and sleepovers to gigs.

I just found a new jacket at the second hand shop, so I've bought some studs and I'm getting a bunch of pyjama punks around for a crafternoon this weekend.
