senior circuit 

Nickname commonly used to describe the National League, one of two major divisions of Major League Baseball, as opposed to the American League, which can be referred to as the "junior circuit." (This is because the National league is much older- it was founded in 1876 while the American League wasn't founded until 1901.) It consists of sixteen teams: in the West division Los Angeles, (one of two franchises in the city) San Francisco, Arizona, Colorado, and San Diego; in the Central division St. Louis, Chicago, (one of two franchises in the city) Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Houston, and Milwaukee; and in the East division Philadelphia, Florida, New York, (one of two franchises in the city) Atlanta and Washington. The nicknames for these teams are respectively the Dodgers, Giants, Diamondbacks, Rockies, Padres, Cardinals, Cubs, Reds, Pirates, Astros, Brewers, Phillies, Marlins, Mets, Braves, and Nationals. Notable players include San Francisco's Tim Lincecum, St. Louis' Albert Pujols, and Milwaukee's Prince Fielder.

In this year's All Star game in St. Louis, the senior circuit fell to the junior circuit 4 to 3.

senior capstone 

An impossible project created by Richland Collegiate High School to inflict pain and unnecessary torture upon the seniors of the program.

A paper composed of roughly 15 pages of BS in MLA or APA format that is usually finished seconds before the due date. The project also includes a working model/representation of whatever the BS paper was suppose to explain.

A: Hey wanna go out this weekend?

B: I can't

A: Why?

B: I have stupid senior capstone

A: Forget that! Just throw something together night before

like everyone else.

B: OK!

Man that assignment was pointless! It was such a senior capstone.

Senior skip day 

A day chosen by a senior class to skip school. This most frequently happens at the beginning/end of a school week or the day before or after a school day in which there are no classes (a state holiday for example).

Jill: Hey Jack, we have a State holiday Monday and we (seniors) have no school Wednesday because the underclassmen and Juniors are taking some standardized tests.

Jack: Well, Jill, I guess its only right to have a Senior skip day on Tuesady.

Chambersburg Area Senior High School 

A large public school in a small town in the middle of nowhere where people think it's cool to wear camo to both school and prom, not just in the woods. Words and phrases like "red up" and "it's all" are typical of these PA Bible Belt students, who most would consider sheltered hicks. There are countless cliques typical of any school, and the popular crowd goes to Shippensburg University on the weekends for parties. Almost entirely Christian, partying is kept secret and students might as well wear a letter A on their clothes if they have sex with their boyfriend or girlfriend. Most students drive trucks and American Eagle is considered preppy. The football team sucks and the school district wasted their money on a new turf field and pretty architecture instead of new books and smart teachers. But that's okay, most of the students are pretty dumb anyway and end up staying there their whole lives. Most students are at least third generation CASHS students. Students spend their free time playing a sport, smoking, or lying to their parents to keep up their Christian persona. Fyi: There's nothing to do.

Somebody who has worked their way up to a high level and can be classed as senior. Someone who deserves respect as senior man/woman.

Can also refer to older members of our society.
