Other things that suffered a similar fate are the word lol, anything related to Pheonix Wright, The purple guy from Five Nights at Freddy's (AKA FNAF), any glint of hope that anyone has ever had for feminism actually being feminism and not misandry, and a lot of mainstream anime.
