There is another opportunity out there.

Take a chance.

Similar to there are plenty of other fish in the sea.

Bailing Season

When a person/group of people decide that it is definitely time to bail out of a situation. Bailing Season originated at a theme park in England when a queue for a ride was far too long to wait for. The group mutually agreed that it was certainly time to bail, and the time that it had taken, from exiting the queue to being officially 'bailed' is known as Bailing Season. Bailing Season can last from 5 minutes to 5 hours depending on the situation.
Kid 1: This queue is not worth the utter grief.
Kid 2: What you saying'?
Kid 1: Bailing Season!

Followed by quick repeating of the words... 'bail bail bail bail, duck like bird duck like bird'.

Stella-bail

Just like a Johnny-come-lately, except she doesn't show up at all. She's very keen to make it and sounds very excited about the happening, and then something unexpectedly goes wrong... and, inevitably, she bails.
Stella: "I'm gonna be there for 6:30! Really excited about dinner!"
Her friends: "See you then!"

1 hour later:

Stella: "Actually, as I left work I cycled over a bed of nails and got a flat tire and had to carry my bike home in the rain so I don't think I'm gonna make it for dinner any longer guys. See you next time"

Her friends: "Stella-bail!"

Bailing Spinach

When a lawn is cut after being over grown while the grass is still wet. So wet that the grass comes out of the mower like clumps of cooked spinach and stalls the mower.
Damn, I haven't cut the grass in 3 weeks. I'm gonna be bailing Spinach Saturday

Bail

One of the best part of America's justice system. The doctrine that, by default, you should be released from jail until given a fair trial. Usually you must pay money as leverage so you show up in court. Bail is one of the greatest parts of America's justice system, because it makes it so much easier to get a fair trial, work with attorneys, etc. and it also ensures that you won't spend months or years in jail only to be found not guilty of a crime. Unfortunately, many poor people can't afford to pay cash bail and sit in jail until trial, often for crimes they did not commit.
In America, if you rob a bank, you can bail out and go free until you have a fair trial. In China, if you criticize the government, you'll be arrested and held in jail for months or years, and you won't be given a fair trial.
