The ultimate free online game. People rip on it because of the graphics but in reality if you were a true gamer graphics dont really matter as much as the gameplay does. Runescape is a game you play for the enjoyment of doing quest and have multiple jobs to do. You can do a lot in the game that you could do in any other game.

Get the runescapemug. Only one of the current Free Massively Multiplayer Games. It it probably the most easy to find and start. The most monotonous and oddly additive game I have come across so far.
A "runescape" is what you call any game that is just a knock off of anything else.
You can call anything a "runescape" if it has any of the underlieing problems:
1. over crowding
2. Too many 12 years olds on all the time
3. General lag or bad graphics

I found a new game the other day, its really good, only problem is i fear its becoming the next runescape. You, know, over-priced , half-done and laggy as hell.

Get the runescapemug. A MMPORPG that is highly adictive to most that play it. It loses a good reputation from its bad graphics, poor childish society of 12 year olds, and its overall adiction. Most people that play another game such as world of warcraft (which i do not) dispise this game and just try to find the bad spots in it. I played for two years, at the beginning when i played i lost a lot of friends and most of my social life but now that ive quit i have steadily regained it and my grades.
If you are going to play this game i would suggest that you spend a max of one hour a day on it and spend the rest outside, doing schoolwork/work for a job, spending time with family. Because unlike the real world, even if you are the nicest person in the entire game and the BEST person in the entire game, it will never matter in real life except make you subjet to ridicule as a geek or nerd

First, he ditched his friends for GODDAM RUNESCAPE!!!!!! Dave's friends were nice and fun-loving. Dave threw away his SOCIAL LIFE!!! But, that's not the worst part!!! Here it is...
His parents were planning a huge roadtrip across the WHOLE ENTIRE US. California, Florida, Texas, Maine, Arizona. Grand Canyon, Statue of Liberty, Golden Gate Bridge, Disney world... you name it, they're going there. But even with the prospect of a continental roadtrip, Dave chose Runescape. DAVE DITCHED ROADS, HIS LIFETIME PASSION, FOR FUCKING RUNESCAPE. Dave's life was wiped away. Dave isn't interested in roads anymore. Now, he sits in his mom's basement for 18 hours a day playing that sorry excuse of a game they call runescape. He forgets to wash. He forgets to eat. He forgets to sleep. His grades drop to the low 30s. He develops huge cysts on his face. He has no life. He dies of starvation and thirst. At his computer.

Get the runescapemug. Simply put : The most addictive and time-wasting thing someone can involve themselves in. If you haven't played NEVER START! If you quit, you'll eventaully be sucked back in.

Get the Runescapemug. A game people love to bash, despite being fairly good overall. Yes, it's addictive to new players, and there's a lot of grind involved, but coming from the high level community I can say that it's very enjoyable, once you get to the point I'm at at least. If you play like it's your day-job then of course you're going to get addicted and eventually bored of it, and grow to despise it. But once you really get to know the game, it's community, and it's massive YouTube community, the grinding aspect becomes irrelevant and easy, and the game becomes very rewarding (Assuming you actually pay to play, otherwise the game's a massive waste of time with no real goals or purposes.)
