a frequently used "word" people use when IMing each other. it stands for "laughing my ass off" but obviously, no one laughs they're ass off, so it's quite ridiculous. we use it when something's funnier and deserves more than a capitalized "lol" sometimes people say it in person too, but that's only when they're trying to be funny... or they're just retarded.

Can be used in conjunction with other laughing acronyms such as lol and rofl ie. hahahahlololololroflmao!!!!1 and so on..

Used when the situation is considered funnier than a mere lol.

I've also heard this said aloud in conversation pronounced: La mayo. Also roflmao (pronounced rofl like waffle mayo) and of course lol.

Not yet official, but may be seen used on msn or other online messengers. it is derived from lmao, meaning "laugh my ass off" in online terms. the extra two "f"'s at the end have no real point, but are possibly used to show that the final "o" is "off" in full terms, which is still pretty pointless. A Red haired man is credited with creating the term.
