Meta-irony

Abstract:

A joke which can not be considered either sincere or ironic.

When used as a feedline (1) the idea is to judge the audiences viewpoint, and respond to it. When used as a punchline (2) meta-irony works as a mirror, like in abstract art, inviting the audience to make up their own mind if the joke was serious or ironic, while leaving the meta-ironic person/comedian invulnerable to criticism because their viewpoint is not clear.

1) "Women are like dogs"

To an offensive reception - You can follow with; "They clean food from the kitchen floor" or "they will always be afraid of burglars"

To an amused reception - You can follow with; "They can't stop being bitches" or "they bark more at other bitches" or

"They will only shut up once you feed them"

2) " Trans women's pussies are like vegan-burgers - Thats not blood that beet juice "

Some may think - "Well, veganism and trans are both progressive issues. So the comparison is true"
Some may think - "It is true that trans women's pussies are not real pussies, and thus trans women are not real women"

Conclusion.

A meta-ironic joke reveals nothing about the users viewpoint, and is intentional.

nb. This should not be confused with a purely ineffective ironic joke, or with English dry humour where the idea is to try to be taken seriously revealing the naïvety of the audience.
"He likes meta-irony he is not a communist. He is not a capitalist either, don't take him too seriously he was being meta-ironic"

kismet irony

when your looking at the world and infer because of your point of view that something is meant to be, preordained, or destined when the reality is that all things are standalone events and not connected whats so ever, but still to percieve the connection between the events or what have you.
my name is frank stark and i feel a kismet irony when i see in the media all of the franks and starks it seems to be riddled with. i.e. francis underwood, tony stark, edward stark, the griffon from fantastic beasts name was frank, etc.

Define Irony

(According to Steve Buschemi in Con Air 1997) Define irony. Bunch of idiots dancing on plane to a song made famous by a band that died in a plane crash.

Garland "The Marietta Mangler" Green: Define irony. Bunch of idiots dancing on a plane to a song made famous by a band ...*smirk* that died in a plane crash.

Unintentional irony

The irony is, obviously, unintentional. Seldom used in a work of art, often in premonitions that ironically turn right. It is a negative kind of coincidence about which the author has very little knowledge or doesn't have any such intention. For example, the emergency number in the USA is 911 and a critical emergency unintentionally took place on 9/11.
In Dante's art one can find unintentional irony at work that wouldn't have been ironical back then.

Fungal Irony

A form of irony part-venerating, part-mocking, part-fearing mushrooms, molds, lichens and all other forms of fungi.
