The most common form of homeless is the addict; these people come from abusive families, relationships and lives of many different forms. These forms usually end up in shelters and the dark parts of outside due to addiction or mental illness.
In another direction you get the vagrants who use train hopping and hitch hiking as a means of getting around, these types are very similar to the above and can often get into more trouble(they range from street punks to low life backwash.)
On the brighter side of this life you get the few odd types who chose ancient survival methods over modern day survival. These types typically do not stay in shelters or the sidewalks and are far more difficult to locate due to the fact that many of them do a lot of walking across country. These usually range from odd aboriginals trying to live out their traditions to the so called anarcho-primitivist movements. Many of these types vary in their survival methods. Very rarely do you find one that knows everything on how to survive like our ancestors did.

Typically, a homeless, gay male, who, either by circumstance or personal choice, has no permanent place of residence of his own. These young men, oftentimes, members of the backpack generation who are locally nomadic, have little or no means of support, and few, if any, deep, personal relationships. They can be found in major urban centers, in most cases, with a backpack containing an assortment of expensive, name brand underwear, assorted electronics, and a working mobile phone, but no additional clothes than those they are wearing. Although it is rare, some individuals may be as old as 30, and in some very rare cases you may find some into their 40's. These young men will oftentimes offer sex in exchange for a place to "crash" or something to eat!
There seems to be an alarming trend in the growing number of "Homelessexual" men within the gay community.

I was in Jack-in-the-Box with my friends cuz we had to use the bathroom, and we had a conversation with a homeless guy there about 70's music.

Get the Homeless Hut mug.A pedal-powered vehicle (usually a bicycle, but inclusive of trikes and bicycle/shopping-cart hybrids) distinguishable by the copious application of tinfoil to the spokes, spray-painted gold frame and/or components, mismatched (and technically inappropriate) "upgraded" components, and flipped drop bars, or bum bars. These vehicles usually have a single speed, or a geared drivetrain (usually in a state of disrepair and capable of only one forward speed), and little to no stopping (braking) power. Accessories include "panniers" (garbage bags) filled with bottles and radios strapped to the rear rack or handlebars.
Pedestrian 1 (moments after narrowly avoiding a collision with a man on a bicycle): "WOAH! Watch it, man!"
