A collection of written or typed paragraphs originally meant to, with fairly noble intentions, teach students how to introduce and support an idea logically and with solid, existing, and cited evidence, but more recently (and *most* of the time, but not always) assigned to middle- and high school students either as busy work or purely to piss them off. The teachers who assign essays for the latter reason just wants to see the world crash and burn.

I propose that we replace essays with tests comprised solely of multiple choice and short answer questions.
