Asfandyar

Asfandyar, also transliterated as Esfandiyar, Esfandyar, Isfandiar, Isfandiyar or Esfandiar, is a legendary Iranian hero.

The name is best known from Shahnameh (an enormous poetic opus written by the Persian poet Ferdowsi around 1000 AD).
