Usage of the word faggot as a gay slur still exists, obviously, just as some people still use the term 'colored' for a black person or call a sofa a 'davenport'. This is not really a reclamation of a pejorative word, because the new definition of faggot is not necessarily positive (at best it is neutral) but use of the word is never accompanied by anger, hate, sarcasm, or hostility like the slur was. It's used primarily to flirt, as a term of lust.
