This word is derived from the italian word "Jiggorazzi" the movement of which over 270k italian jews were captured, put in death camps and executed in a boiling pot of tomato puree where they were served to other italian inmates in pasta bologne.
Enzo Babbo one of the remaining alive survivors of the jiggorazzi was commonly referred to as a "jigoro" while spending time in the camp.
