home education

Home educated people are children who are educated otherwise than at school. This could be by their parents following/not following the curriculum or online schools (yes, they existed before Covid-19). However, some online schooled students don’t like being called home educated.

Some peoples’ reasons for being home educated are:

- Religious beliefs
- Mental/Physical health
- Pursuing other commitments such as acting or sports
- Other, such as a need for a decelerated/accelerated education due to a number of reasons.

The list goes on.

There are many other social opportunities for children that aren’t school. Please don’t assume we are social recluses.

I was home educated until I was 7, then returned to home education when I was 13.

Home 

Home is defined as the place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household, but that is not always the case. Home can be classified as a person or a place that you feel a connection to. Home is a person or place you feel safe and that you can be yourself at. Home is a safe person/place for you. Home is your safe person/place. Home makes you feel loved. Home is anything you feel like you feel most safe, comfortable, and/or connected to. Home is something or someone you learn to or already love. Home is love. Home is forever.

You: "I'm going home."

Special Someone: "But I am your home."

You: "You're right, or when you're not around it's the forest because I feel connected to it."
