winterval

The sum of all festivities taking place around the middle of winter (Northern hemisphere). This triumph of political correctness was invented in 1998 by Birmingham City Council. It is a contraction of winter and interval. It embraces the mix of Neopagan, Jewish, African American, Christian and secular fesitivals that occur at this time.

The polar opposite of an "Indian Summer". When unseasonably cold winter-like weather ruins what should be a warm Spring day.

i was gave a winter wedgie one day when bending down to make a snowball. then they stripped me down to my underwear and hung me in a high tree. people came and laughed. until i fell down out of my underwear and ran naked home. luckily no one saw me.

The reluctance to remove or trim body hair during winter in a bid to keep warm. The winter peltee may show symptoms of hirsuitism during the months from October to around May. It is generally bad etiqutte to be still sporting your winter pelt at the beginning of Wimbledon.
