A rip is when someone says or does something that turns out to be wrong. When they do, you can say "That's a rip."

Depending on how it works in your area, you can also inflict pain to the people who got ripped.

Joe: John's in the steakhouse, I swear!

A sea current, one that pulls water back out to sea from the beach. It can be seen as a line of sand in the water. If you swim into a strong one, it will pull you out to sea.
