When politicians shout about how they think the country should be run but do nothing other than belittle the opposition, instead of making progress.

It can also relate to the impossible journey a senator or congressman has to go through to make progress in government while up against a higher authority who will not listen to "the little guy."

Gay marriage was once again shot down this week for no particular reason other than 'it's in the Bible.' It seems like we have a case of Donkey Kong Politics.

Student Politics

Wearing bright, gaudy clothes with lots of corporate sponsors and yelling/prancing in a public area for attention, cryptically linked to some vague cause.

I saw some members of our campus student council today; they were being loud and throwing water balloons to save Tibet.

If you are keen, love attention and yet are lacking in the departments of taste and dignity, give student politics a try!

The rules of laws people of the streets follow. Rules of loyalty, trust and doing whatever necessary to survive. Usually coming form impoverished beginnings, street politics is a way to civilize the environment, usually with illegal measures.

Bumper Sticker Politics

Persuading people to support a politician or initiative through the use of catchphrases, broad/short statements or simply selling the idea that people need to belong to a political party while depending on the target audience laziness not to do any actual research to see if the politician or initiative has any outstanding flaws that will burn them.

The frenzy increases around elections and can be easily spotted in message boards when people try to turn any news article into a political statement even if it really has nothing to do with politics.

Do you really think your Beliefs are in jeopardy depending on who is in office? You need to stop buying into the bumper sticker politics you see on the road and actually read unbiased articles instead.

Neoliberal identity politics

A tactic used by neoliberal Democrats to smear Progressives/Social Democrats as 'racists', 'misogynists', 'white supremacists' or a combination of all three. Ever since Bernie Sanders neutralized the term, 'socialist', neoliberal Democrats can no longer effectively red-bait their left-wing opponents, so they have weaponized identity politics against the Left that legitimately gives a shit about social justice. Neoliberal identity politics has largely been bolstered by ignorant, young upper-middle class "intersectional feminists" who smear anyone who criticizes Hillary from the left as "sexist".

Progressive: Man, urban poverty would really be a lot better if we stopped electing neoliberal Democrats like Hillary who keep cutting social programs and deregulating the banks that destroyed the economy in 2008.
