consciousism

A value judgment based on the level of consciousness of any object, animate or inanimate. Typically, the “higher” the consciousness, the more valuable the object is deemed. For example, humans are considered (by most humans) to be of more worth than other animals like rats; in turn, all animals are considered more valuable than plants, which are considered more valuable than rocks, and so forth. A consciousist is one who subscribes to value judgments based on the level of consciousness.
