Apocalypse Anxiety

(noun)

A psychological or physiological state of anxiety that has recently developed in society which has created feelings of fear, worry, uneasiness and dread due to an overabundance of media being produced with "End of the world" themes, coupled with the Mayan, Egyptian, I-Ching,Web-Bot predictions all pointing to an Apocalypse or deadly transformation from the world as we know it on Dec. 21st, 2012. People suffering from this anxiety start to lose interest or hope for their future which often times leads to a doomed outlook for success or even losing an interest in success itself for that matter because they feel it will all be in vain.

My brother Tony said he is not going to bother with college once he graduates High School this year because he is sure the world is going to end next year. I think he is suffering from Apocalypse Anxiety after this three day Youtube binge on 2012 videos.

Passcode Anxiety 

A point in time where you can't remember a specific passcode and you begin to feel anxious as you keep trying to figure out the right code before you reach the maxium attempts allowed and have to reset it.

I began to feel passcode anxiety as I just stared at the computer screen trying to figure out my passcode to log into my account. I just kept typing in a new code and each time it was wrong.

Social Anxiety Crew

A group of socially awkward teenagers who like to spraypaint walls in an artistic and non gang-affiliated fashion. Originally Located in Tuolumne County, some sightings of their signature on certain pieces have been seen in local Graffiti Tunnels and Bridges. Law enforcement usually cover it up quickly to avoid spreading an underground movement, though one of their murals allegedly still stands under Washington street. Their art seems to be a team effort, with at least two members present at once. All contributors sign with the same initials: SA

Cece: Hey, check it out. It's actually pretty good. For graffiti, I mean.
JJ: yeah.. not bad.
Cece: I wonder who made it?
JJ: Not sure. whats that in the corner? "SA"? i wonder what it stands for

Construction Anxiety 

“Construction Anxiety” is a condition that comes from seeing orange and white caution cones everywhere you go. The overuse of these cones and all the construction going on around you is enough to cause this disorder.

Chase was driving and sees yet ANOTHER construction area with the orange and white cones. This sends his construction anxiety up to a level of epic proportions. The stop and go, slow down, right lane closed, traffic jams are more than he can take!

When you put your iPod on shuffle at party or social gathering and you project yourself forward thinking "What's it going to play next?" Jarvis Cocker is often credited as coining this term.

Guy 1: "Dude this is awesome. Those songs transitioned into each other perfectly. I wonder what it's gonna play next"
Guy 2: "Oh no, what is it gonna play next?! Will it be as good?!?"
