origin: mash up of "zoom" (video conferencing app) plus "zombie" (living dead; magically reanimated corpse)

After 18 months of WFH no surprise just about everyone at CitiGroup was reduced to zoombie mode.

Zombiefied means when game/series/etc a game is revived when it was dead/underrated but also the fandom turns extremely obnoxious and terrible

Person 1: Man have you seen this cool game/series?
Person 2: Yeah, I used to enjoy it when it was kinda dead, but now, it has been zombified with this new fandom
