When a person gaslights you into feeling or looking vulnerable or needy for their fake help and hence, inferior. It's a way of domineering over you by establishing a power dynamic where they get to control your life, order you around and you're supposed to feel grateful to be treated like a dog. May be part of a smear campaign, triangulation and poisoning the well of your general reputation. Common to narcissists but everyone has done this at some point, we usually grow out of it after school. They will interrogate you for slander and ruin under the guise of politeness. Social sabotage and attempted social murder.
e.g. "I'm just worried about you" or "are you okay? you seem XYZ" Classic form of concern trolling, weaponised by controlling men and women who otherwise have no recourse to control you in that situation. May speak to you like an abusive parent to a naughty child. Boundary violation is the purpose.
"People have been talking about you so I just came to check how you are." Triangulation method, they're the problem. They are smearing you.
"You look terrible/tired" or "You seem so sad, secretly, can I help?" Interference and belittlement gaslights.
"Are you SURE you're okay?" wearing you down with resistance to their interrogations. Happens in the workplace too.

Cristian and Nias were both victims of trolling on Oasis by LevelUpLifting and BigWalrus1. It was hilarious and will be forever immortalized in this video.

the term for a radical left snowflake invader in the tabletop role-playing game space. The polar opposite of a grognard. The blue-haired nose-ringed pseudo-geeks who invaded D&D and started complaining about the word 'race' as applied to elves, dwarves, etc. They came into the fantasy gaming space and started claiming all sorts of goofy crap, saying drow and orcs were 'black-coded,' inadvertently showcasing their own weird racism. They're the reason the 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide has a whole section on triggers and safety tools. It is due to their influence that we now have D&D characters that exist as transvestites in wheelchairs in a fantasy setting where they could become able-bodied biological women with like... two spells. Wild narcissism.
We left the game room at the convention after some Glitter Troll came in and sarted sperging out because our homebrew character sheets didn't have a place for pronouns. Thankfully, Sarah saved the day by ordering pizza and inviting us all to play in her room.

Trolling, which originates from the word "troll", is when a person on the internet or in real life known as a "troller" messes around with others for amusement. This can result in the victims, or people called "trollees" being very upset, angry, or sometimes laughing along with the trollers. In some scenarios the trollees don't have any reaction. Trolling can range from simple tricks (e.g. the classic water bucket on top of the door trick) to the worst deeds known to man (e.g. simultaneously killing hundreds or thousands of people)

Something (joke, story, movie-scene) an individual does not find funny until they meet someone who is offended by it.
Then they find it hilarious (either from the nervousness, ridiculousness, obscenity, or the person is in-fact a troll)

Bob: So I heard this really lame joke the other day (insert joke)
Chad: … that's not funny (insert personal story)
Bob: … BAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!! Well I guess this friendship is over?
Chad: Nah, it's alright I understand troll humor just like when (inserts joke about Bob's life)
Both: (Laugh and continue being friends)
