A desert nine is when someone has a mask over half their face, so you can not tell if the person is physically attractive or not. Only when the mask is taken off can you judge the individuals pure beauty.

Brian: Yo is that new girl Stacy in your group for Econ?
Steve: Yeah can’t tell if she’s hot or not, she’s a desert nine.
