The opposite of white flight is gentrification, where legal businesses replace illegal ones (drug peddling, extortion, prostitution). Some people think that both of these are incredibly racist for some reason.

The suddenly apparent 'oh shit I'm fucked; I was warned, but I didn't listen' realization as a consequence of choosing international travel during a world-wide pandemic.

This virus-thingy is just a silly, stupid, made-up hoax and I simply REFUSE to change my plans (or my children's plans) when the PARTAYYY MUST-GO-ON.

5 days later: Ummm, seems like we might need some help getting home. The major carriers have suspended travel...
