Get the Shnooks mug.A centuries-old town in rural Pennsylvania that exploded in population during the immigrant boom of the late 1800's/early 1900s. Main industry until the late 20th Century was coal mining. It was renamed "Coal Township" in the late 20th Century to reflect the influence of the coal industry on it's local politics. It's rumored that the name "Shamokin" is an old Native American term meaning "welcome." It's further rumored that Shamokin was built on the site of a friendly Native American village. People from Shamokin have their own lingo and are usually hardcore.
Tom: "OMG Johnny just got his legs severed in a freak mining accident!"
Johnny: "I'm from Shamokin, PA. I'll walk it off."

Get the Shamokin, PA mug.Sierra is one of the most beautiful girls in existence, tall, blonde, looks 5 years older than she is. If you ever encounter a Sierra Shook, do not, I repeat DO NOT look it in the eyes or you will be lost forever. That is what happened with me 8 months ago. Just know that a Sierra Shook is someone you can always rely on. Even if she can be snobby and only think about herself sometimes. *cough*
*sees the most beautiful girl in the world walking in front of you in a bikini*
Oh gosh, what a Sierra Shook. =D *drools*

Get the Sierra Shook mug.I've heard the phrase "shook up" meaning "shaken up" or "shocked" in American tv series, but I'm not sure it is correct.
Sheila overheard a conversation between her best friends. They said her boyfriend was cheating on her, so she's pretty shook up.
